Employee Benefits/Group Division

Forrest Sherer Insurance would like to assist management to determine effective solutions for you, our client, through detailed project management and proven methodologies and tools.  We will work to implement solutions efficiently and cost effectively.  With over 84 years of insurance experience, we have developed a range of employee benefit plans to satisfy a diversity of client needs.  We are locally owned and our reputation is stellar.  When it comes to experienced account executives and superior service, you can count on the “Forrest Sherer Edge”.  We are committed to doing employee benefits the right way year after year.

To ensure benefit plans are in compliance with federal and state legislation, Forrest Sherer currently monitors these requirements through seminars, industry periodicals, and Washington updates provided by our professional organizations such as the National Association of Health Underwriters and the International Society of Certified Employee Benefits Specialists, as well as various state and federal lobbyists.

In addition to medical, dental, life, and disability carriers, Forrest Sherer Insurance is contracted with various vendors who also provide services such as legal, actuarial, administrative, and consulting.  A selection of appropriate vendors is reviewed based on size of group, location(s), industry, benefits to be provided, network capabilities, competitive pricing, claims turn-around, customer service standards, and online administration.

Our benefits marketing department, along with the account executive, will assist in the coordination, design, editing, and production of any and all employee informative handout materials.  We will negotiate initial and renewal contracts with all vendors and update contribution strategies within budget parameters.  An important part of the renewal process is reviewing contracts, insurance policies, and plan documents for accuracy, applicability, and continuity.  A “check and balance” system is established to detect errors and inconsistencies before presentation to the client.  Forrest Sherer Insurance has implemented the strictest code of compliance as required by the federal HIPAA privacy act.  We maintain and protect financial and personal information for all clients.  We have established a direct working rapport between vendor and client in order to expedite and resolve service issues, claim disputes, and claims adjudication in a timely manner.
